At the construction site, partially built structures rise alongside a large yellow crane, signaling contributions to Grimsby's Future. Nearby, assorted building materials and machinery surround a red vehicle and orange equipment, setting the foundation for the Horizon Youth Zone.

Contributing to Grimsby’s Future: Our Work with Horizon Youth Zone

We’re thrilled to share our recent collaboration with Horizon Youth Zone, Grimsby’s exciting new youth facility that’s set to transform opportunities for young people in our community. Our Managing Director, Rob Pritchard, has had the privilege of working alongside the Young People’s Development Group (YPDG) to bring their creative vision to life through site hoardings that will mark this important development.

This project holds special significance for us as it builds upon our previous volunteer work with Horizon Youth Zone. Back in 2020, we were honoured to help develop their brand identity, working directly with local young people to create a name and logo that truly represented their aspirations. The chosen name, “Horizon”, and their powerful strapline “Look beyond your limits”, perfectly capture the spirit of possibility that this facility represents.

The hoarding project has been particularly rewarding, bringing together creative minds from different generations. Working alongside Kirk Arnold, our Creative Director, and Graphic Designer Jack Pritchard, we’ve helped the young people transform their ideas into vibrant designs that will soon adorn the construction site. These hoardings aren’t just construction barriers – they’re a canvas for young voices and a preview of the energy this Youth Zone will bring to Grimsby’s town centre.

What makes this project truly special is how it embodies the Youth Zone’s ethos of being created “by young people, for young people.” Every design concept has been shaped by the YPDG’s vision, with our team providing guidance and technical expertise to bring their ideas to life. The enthusiasm and creativity shown by these young people have been truly inspiring.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about Horizon Youth Zone’s potential impact on our community. Once completed, this state-of-the-art facility will offer over 20 different activities daily, from sports and arts to cooking and enterprise. It’s set to become a vital hub for young people aged 8-19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs).

We’re proud to have played a part in this transformative project. Our continued involvement with Horizon Youth Zone reflects our commitment to supporting local initiatives that make a real difference in young people’s lives.

The future of Grimsby’s youth is bright, and we can’t wait to see Horizon Youth Zone open its doors and begin creating new opportunities for our community’s next generation.
